2. Verify Insurance

Following the phone interview, we will initiate the insurance verification process to check if your policy includes coverage for ABA therapy. Once we have the details from your insurance provider, we will inform you about the extent of your coverage and any out-of-pocket costs. For information on alternative payment options or assistance, please get in touch with us.

3. Tour Our Facility

We strongly recommend scheduling a tour of our clinic with one of our BCBAs, allowing you to ask questions face-to-face. Finding a clinic where you feel at ease is crucial, as it will be a long-term partnership for your child's benefit. The tour typically lasts about an hour, providing ample time to explore our facility and discuss your child's needs with our BCBA. Please do not bring children to the tour so you can concentrate fully and have the opportunity to address any questions.

4. Attend An Intake Meeting

Your child's initial assessment will occur with you, your child, and our intake team at our clinic. This session aims to conduct the evaluation required by your insurance provider. After completing the assessment, we will create a treatment plan to submit for insurance approval to provide ABA therapy for your child. This meeting lets us get to know you better and ensure we match your family well. During this assessment, we can suggest suitable therapy services, discuss the parent's role, and discuss possible therapy schedules. The intake assessment and meeting will last approximately two hours.

5. Insurance Authorization

Following your initial assessment, we will develop a treatment plan and submit it to your insurance company. They will then approve the service hours and provide a start date for the therapy. As your child progresses, we will prepare additional treatment plans. Insurance companies typically require updated treatment plans every three to six months to maintain service authorization.

6. Start Your Child's Therapy

Once we obtain approval from your insurance company, we can begin your child's therapy. Depending on your child's needs, we may start with a full schedule or gradually increase the hours to help them adjust to the new routine.

7. Parent Training Sessions

Active parent involvement and continuous communication are crucial for achieving the best results for your child. Your child’s BCBA will coordinate regular parent training sessions with you. These sessions will equip you with techniques and strategies to support your child at home and in the community. We encourage consistent and open communication between parents and BCBAs throughout your time with us.
